So this past weekend I went to Sugoicon with

which marks my last anime convention of the year (unless something crazy happens). It was a great time overall. FIrst of all, we were totally of the same mindset that late nights are awesome and sleeping in is awesome so we didn't head to the con until 1:30 pm or so at the earliest each day.
All the guests were the same as last year...except add Greg Ayres and subtract Ian Sinclair so I got a chance to talk with James Hatton and his lovely wife Madison Bartholemew. If you are unfamiliar with James' work then go to
[link] and if you are unfamiliar with Madison's work then check out Cosplay Burlesque (youtube, itunes, etc) and look for her show The Bacchus Brothers Cabaret to get it's own website sometime this week or next.
As usual the uncensored panels were by far the best. Not allowed to speak openly about them but I don't think any of us will be forgetting the image of diving onto a futon mattress anytime soon.
I ate fairly well during the con which was good as the stress level around here has been through the roof. Since I had my surgery in August I have lost about 15 lbs without really trying. Some of this is my lymphedema moving more freely since the adjustments in surgery. Part of this is the overwhelming stress of family life lately. I just have to make it to Thanksgiving though because then I am going to Milwaukee to see a friends one man show and then heading up to visit my grandmother. She is a bit of a drama queen as well but I'm pretty good at dealing with her.
I am working on some exciting plans for the new year including a two week trip to Texas (all around I'm thinking) in January, and possibly 4 months in Europe. Just have to crunch the numbers and see what sort of budget I would be dealing with in Europe. *crosses her fingers for better exchange rates by the time she leaves*
How are things with you?
What other sort of updates about my crazy life are you interested in?
